I had less than one month to plan logistics to go to the 6th round of MotoAmerica at Laguna Seca. A few days before I packed up my gear, and drove up 7 hours from San Diego. The drive up the 101 freeway is scenic as always, and coming into the gates of Laguna Seca definitely brought back excitement of shooting motorcycles.
It's not possible to capture all the races categories there, let alone photograph at every corner of the track within each category, so I focused my attention on the Supersport and Superbike, and a few spots I never photographed from. If it's your first time photographing at a large track you're unfamiliar with I suggest show up a day early to drive around the track, and view the corners in your minds eye. I've been coming to Laguna Seca for 3 years now, and There's always something new to shoot when I come back. Even though I shot at corner multiple times it is ever the same and forces you to be creative.
